Parrish Farms Represents Smart Growth for Southern St. Johns County

Proposed Development Will Bring Much-Needed Service and Infrastructure to the Community

For more than seventy years, the Parrish Family has owned a large swath of land just off of State Road 207 in the southern part of St. Johns County. Boasting nearly 2,800 acres on one of the highest sand ridges in the county, the land has been offered up for sale to local resident and developer, Chris Shee.

A fifth generation Floridian and resident of St. Johns County, Chris has recently submitted application to develop the land in coordination with a blessing from the Parrish family and will eponymously name it Parrish Farms. Chris’s development company, Heritage Development Group, is responsible for the purchase and development of the community.

Parrish Farms plans to bring much-needed service and infrastructure benefits to the southern part of St. Johns County including a new interchange on I-95 between 207 and 206,

school site, public park site, kayak trails, two-way bike trails to connect to Rails-to-Trails, future connection to Watson Road and CR 305, potential site for hospital or medical center, over 400 acres set aside for a non-profit called “Parrish Ranch,” and much more.

St. Johns County continues to grow and its growth is inevitable. It is the vision of Heritage Development Group to focus on “smart, high-quality growth” instead of the fractured development that continues to occur in the south part of St. Johns County. The goal of Parrish Farms is to create a community-focused, wholesome development that brings as much to the residents surrounding it as it does to the residents who live there.
